Sony is starting the Black Friday festivities early this year. The company has revealed that PlayStation's 2026 Black Friday Sale will start sooner than expected and last longer than usual. That means PlayStation 5 owners have plenty of time to take advantage of countless deals on games, including a handful of this year's GOTY contenders. There may be a downside, though, for anybody hoping for a discount on hardware.

An official post on the PlayStation Blog has announced that the PlayStation Store's annual Black Friday Sale will kick off Wednesday, Nov. 4, and run until Nov. 30. For reference, last year's sale lasted half as long. The sale's offerings will be refreshed on Nov. 16 with certain discounts ending on Nov. 20. Check any listings you're interested in when the sale goes live so you don't miss the best deal.

Because there will be thousands of discounts once the sale launches, a full list of offerings has not yet been released. The PlayStation Blog highlighted a short selection of games from this year that will receive big discounts. It includes the following:

- Marvel's Wolverine Digital Deluxe Edition

- Mortal Shell 2

- Saros Digital Deluxe Edition

- 007 First Light Deluxe Edition

- The Blood of Dawnwalker Eclipse Edition

- Pragmata Deluxe Edition

- Silent Hill: Townfall

- Echoes of Aincrad Deluxe Edition

- Beast of Reincarnation

- The Sinking City 2

Will the PlayStation Store 2026 Black Friday sale include discounts on PS5s?

Last year's Black Friday sale included the announcement of a new PS5 bundle and several discounts on PlayStation hardware. That included a $100 discount on consoles, which followed a PS5 price hike a month earlier. Gamers hoping to take advantage of similar discounts this year may be disappointed.

The official sale announcement included no mention of hardware and accessory sales at this year's event. It seems that making the sale last the entire month of November may be a way for Sony to make up for the lack of hardware deals. Even if Sony itself isn't offering discounts around Black Friday, other outlets could still have deals, but it's never been a worse time to get a console due to rising prices.
