DMZ key and locations in Modern Warfare 4

There are loads of DMZ keys in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4. Used to open both locked containers and locked doors, keys are your fast-track to getting your hands on some of the best loot the extraction mode has to offer. However, when you receive a key, you're only given a brief description of where to use it, so we're going to outline where you can use every key the game has to offer.

Here are all the keys we've found in Modern Warfare 4's DMZ mode and where to use them, listed in alphabetical order by the name of the key.

Note that this guide is a work-in-progress, so if the key you're looking for isn't listed here, check back soon.

Blackmarket weapons locker key

The blackmarket weapons locker key can be used in two different locations in Hajin. Look for the blackmarket weapons store, identifiable by its iron wrought gates and red advert on the roof. One of them is in southern Deadtown, while the other is in eastern Hanrin Village. Go to the basement to find two lockers at each location, so if you have a second blackmarket weapons locker key, it's worth bringing with you.

Coin mining den key

Along with finding it as loot in Hajin, the coin mining den key can also be obtained by completing the "Operating Shopping Hacks" story mission. It opens a door on the third floor of an otherwise unassuming building directly north of the Netshin Tech Complex and east of the gas station found to the west of the NuriGO Mall. Inside, you'll find a number of lootable containers, including plenty of server racks, which are handy for electronic sensors.

Counting room vault key

Completing the "Operation Silent Ledger" story mission will net you the counting room vault key, but to use it, you'll need to go back into the casino. Our dedicated guide explains exactly where to go, but briefly, you'll want to take an immediate right-hand turn as you enter through the main entrance then go through the brown door in the following corridor. You'll find a bunch of safes, loose cash, and containers inside.

Executive arms auction key

The executive arms auction key can be used inside the DBN Headquarters building, which is the tallest skyscraper inside The Grid. If you choose the "Operation Shopping Hacks" mission, you'll spawn nearby. This place is highly fortified, so there are loads of enemies around, and to find the locked room, you'll need to use the various elevators and ziplines dotted around to go to the very top floor (but not the roof). Here, you'll find the locked door pictured above.

Gangbyeong apartment A key

The Gangbyeong apartment A key can be used on an apartment block at the northeastern end of Hajin River Heights. The building is next to the compound, and is the one that is perpendicular to the river to the south. If you need to get inside Gangbyeon apartment A without the key, then you can descend into the parking lot below and search for the staircase that will take you up inside the apartment block.

Gangbyeon apartment B key

The key for Gangbyeon apartment B can usually be found inside Gangbyeon apartment A, which is quite handy. I found it on top of a table in one of the apartments. Gangbyeon apartment B is the building right next to apartment A, running parallel to the river. The key can be used to get inside either the first floor, the basement, or the roof, and if you have the militia arms depot key, you'll need to get inside apartment B first. Apartment B has several apartments to explore, full of decent loot.

Gun store weapons locker key

Much like the blackmarket weapons locker key, there are two locations for the gun store weapons locker key, and each location has multiple lockers inside. The gun stores can be found in western Cheongun Village and northern Songdo Wharf. Each of them has an arched red brick roof and a sign above the entrance depicting a cartoon character. In the basement, you'll find multiple lockers that the keys can be used on.

Hanex guard station key

The Hanex guard station key is used inside the bank within The Grid, which is the slightly smaller building next to the DBN Headquarters, which is the tallest building there. Go inside and take a zipline to the roof, then go down one floor to find the bank's vault. The locked door inside this room, pictured above, is where you can use the hanex guard station key.

Militia arms depot key

The militia arms depot is located inside Gangbyeon apartment B, which is northeast of Hajin River Heights. Once you've got the key for apartment B, which can usually be found inside apartment A (details on those keys above, including how to get into apartment A without a key), you'll find the locked door for the militia arms depot on the first floor. Inside is an apartment with loads of locked containers and high-tier loot.

Mirae electrical room key

You'll receive the Mirae electrical room key upon completing "Operation Critical Extraction," which is the story mission where you must escort a high-value target out of the general hospital. This key unlocks a room in the underground parking lot for the hospital, which can be found by going to the northwestern corner. Enter through a door at the back and follow the signs for parking, which will lead you to a parking lot with purple walls. At the back is a room with iron bars over the windows and "danger" above the door, which can be unlocked with the key.

Police station armory key

The police station armory key is one of the most common keys in DMZ, as it opens armories in all five police stations in Hajin. The map above shows all the locations. In each police station, the armory can be found in the basement, where you'll find weapon crates and other locked containers.

We're updating this guide with more keys as we find them, so check back soon.
