iOS 27 no longer uses a waitlist to enable Siri AI access, except in ‘high demand’ times
If you haven’t yet enabled Siri AI on your iPhone, Apple recently made it quicker and easier to gain access.
That’s because, per updates to this support document, the company is now only using a waitlist for Siri AI in “high demand” times.
After giving instructions on how to enable Siri AI by tapping “Try Siri AI (Beta)” inside Settings, here’s what the document used to say compared to what it says now.
Old:
This will add you to a waitlist, and wait times can vary. Siri AI will begin to download automatically when your wait is complete.
New:
Siri AI will begin to download automatically. During time of high demand, you might be added to a waitlist first, and wait times can vary.
It’s understandable that a waitlist was used initially upon iOS 27’s release. Apple needed to slowly grant access while gauging server performance. But now that we’re nearly two months into the iOS 27 rollout, it’s great that Apple is only deploying the waitlist occasionally as needed.
