Strengths

Limitations
- The full weights version is not suitable for an ordinary laptop.
- Free downloading of weights does not mean free API or hardware.

Current Generation
The official October 17, 2026 updates mention DeepSeek-V4.1-Flash-1017. In the API, the name deepseek-flash refers to the new version; therefore, introducing DeepSeek solely with R1 or V3 is no longer a complete picture.
Online or Local?
This model's official weights are released under the MIT license. However, the full version is very large; being "open-weight" does not make it a lightweight model for every computer. Before downloading, check the file sizes, required memory, and the compatibility of the execution software.
For evaluation, test the output on a few Persian samples and your actual problem; ranking first in a benchmark does not replace evaluating your specific use case.
